Accountants Company for Management and Integrated Services (AMIS) decided to delay the health care program designed for low-income members of vocational and labor syndicates to the beginning of next July, said Gamal Badawy, CEO of AMIS.
The program is organized in collaboration with Egyptian Takaful Insurance Company (Life) and Iskan Insurance to meet the costs of health care services.
The unrest Egypt is currently witnessing has made many investors wary of creating new projects which accordingly harmed Egypt’s economy. Therefore, the Company delayed its health care program as it is wary of not achieving the targeted profit, Badawy added.
The program was destined to be launched last May and the Company targets 100,000 customers in the first year and 220,000 customers in three years.
It is worth mentioning that AMIS manages health care programs of accountants and their families from 15 years.
