Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, heading a delegation of the organization, is scheduled to travel to the Iraqi capital on Sunday, to discuss with Iraqi leaders preparations for the upcoming Arab summit.
Ambassador Ahmad Bin Hilli, the Secretary General Deputy, said in a statement on Saturday that the chief would hold talks with senior Iraqi officials on preparations for the top-level meeting, namely preparatory ministerial meetings.
Dr. Al-Arabi is due to meet, during his presence in Baghdad, with President Jalal Al-Talbani, Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, he said, noting that the scheduled talks would deal with topics of the summit agenda. The summit is due to be held in Baghdad in the end of this month.
