Ashraf Abou El Fotouh, member at the communication division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, stated that the chamber calls upon the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to cut off service for Chinese phones which do not have a license.
In exclusive statements to Amwal Al Ghad, Abou El Fotouh added that the chamber has sent a note to the Head of the National Telecommunications and Regulatory Agency (NTRA), demanding that telecommunications companies should compensate both traders and customers by allowing exchanging these unlicensed mobiles with new ones at nominal prices.
He also pointed out that the Minister has promised to cut off services for unlicensed mobile phones, but only 20% of these mobile have been disconnected.
