NTRA Considers Telecom Egypt’s Plan for Providing Comprehensive Services

by Administrator

Eng. Hany Mahmoud, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated that the Ministry will hold a meeting with the leaders of Telecom Egypt to discuss the virtual license that the company seeks to acquire.

He stated that the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (NTRA) considers a number of available solutions, including granting Telecom Egypt a virtual license, integrated license, or allowing it to provide comprehensive services for both fixed and mobile phone users with fixed prices.

In his interview in El Sha’ab Yored (People Want) Program, presented by Dina Abdel Fatah, the Minister added that this license would give Telecom Egypt an opportunity to provide integrated services, highlighting that they would resort to the virtual license due to the difficulty of establishing a new mobile network at the current period.
