Non-governmental volunteer and youth-led climate organisation, Egyptian Red Crescent (ERS) launched an insurance policy bid, said official sources on Sunday.
The insurance policy will see the coverage of personal accidents that may occur to Egyptian Red Crescent’s workers and volunteers, the sources told Amwal Al Ghad.
With a total sum insured of 600,000 Egyptian pounds ($35,913), the policy will cover death arising from terrorist attacks in favour of insured individuals, they added.
“The policy includes coverage of personal accidents for around 1,000 individuals, with a total sum insured up to 100,000 pounds,” the sources said.
It also includes coverage of ERS workers, with total sum insured ranging between 100 million pounds directed to normal accidents and 600 million pounds directed to results of the terrorist attacks, the sources added.
The policy also encompasses coverage of death resulting from an accident, besides total or permanent partial disability, they said.
