MARAKEZ wins best built commercial project at Cityscape

MARAKEZ, one of the largest mixed-use developers in Egypt, received the Cityscape Award for Best Built Commercial Project in Egypt for the company’s flagship development, Mall of Arabia Phase II known as “The Expansion”.

The Expansion was also shortlisted for the Cityscape Egypt Retail Project Award, while AEON Towers was shortlisted for the Residential Medium to High Rise Project Award.

Mall of Arabia is one of Egypt’s largest shopping malls, serving as a popular destination for shopping, dining and entertainment. With the completion of The Expansion, the GLA at Mall of Arabia stands at 150,000 sqm featuring more than 300 retail outlets and 120 dining options, including an innovative dining concept known as The Food Hall, as well as The Park, the first-of-a-kind 8 acre in-mall park located in The Expansion. It also boasts an 11-screen cinema and various children’s play areas such as Billy Beez, Sparky’s and IFC Shoot.

In just three short years since entering the Egyptian market in 2015, MARAKEZ has consolidated multi-sector investments of AlHokair Group worth EGP 15 billion.
