Entrepreneurs’ Forum will launch an initiative named “Jisor” (Bridges) by the beginning of next September, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and a number of international companies, such as Cisco. The aim of this initiative is to support micro-projects.

Eng. Ahmed Ghitani, CEO of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, stated that this initiative is oriented toward micro-projects which costs range from EGP 50 to EGP 50.000. He pointed out that the initiative is concerned with E-marketing skills and the mechanisms of using computers in different administrative tasks, adding that they will establish coordination with all Egyptian universities to reach creative solutions and that Cisco will be funding the best solutions and carry them out.

Moreover, this initiative will create job opportunities for young people by encouraging them to start their own projects and helping them to obtain loans from banks, given that such projects will be part of the country’s economy, he said.

He also noted that this initiative will include 100 micro-projects in Alexandria. The first phase will last for 4 months, the second phase will be launched next January in the governorates of Cairo and Upper Egypt, including 150 enterprises and will last for 6 months, and then follows a new phase with an annual rate of 300 projects.
