Iran To Launch National Data Network In September

The first phase of Iran’s National Data Network will be launched by the end of the sixth calendar month of Shahrivar (September 21), Minister of Information and Communications Technology Reza Taqipour told the IRNA News Agency.

The infrastructure for the National Data Network has almost been completed, he said.

The second phase of the network will be inaugurated by the end of the current year (March 20, 2013), he added.

According to Iranian officials, the National Data Network has been developed to increase the speed of access to the net and enhance the security of computer networks.
