The American Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that an investment delegation from large American companies will visit Egypt in October to learn the promising investment opportunities in various fields.
During a meeting organized by AmCham between Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr Sahar Nasr and a number of US investment companies wishing to do business in Egypt, at the end of her visit to Washington, Nasr reviewed the achievements reached in Egypt in terms of economic and legislative reforms in implementation of directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
“The Egyptian government is working actively to encourage private sector investments as a locomotive for economic growth and to provide jobs and curb poverty,” she said.
“The government is also keen on maintaining contacts with the private sector and the civil society to implement the comprehensive development plan,” she said, praising the private sector expansions recently particularly in the energy sector.
She called on American companies to get acquainted with distinguished investment opportunities in Egypt and make use of the incentives offered by the investment law.
She asked investors to check the ministry’s website www.miic.gov.eg which has been launched for ease of access as regards measures, legislation and information about investment. The investment map of Egypt is posted on the website as well to present opportunities and advantages of each investment zone in Egypt, she added.c
