One of Egypt’s major construction firms is negotiating with the country’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to execute four flagships in New Alamein City, northwest of Cairo, an official source in the firm said Thursday.
The four residential and infrastructure projects are with total investments estimated at six billion Egyptian pounds ($338.6 million), the source further told Amwal Al Ghad.
“The company was tasked with carrying out a 44-storey giant tower in New Alamein City during last year,” he stated, referring that his company is currently preparing to start the concrete construction works.
“The company was also charged with implementing a commercial part at the trade zone in New Alamein City,” the source said, adding that the mandates come as part of the Housing Ministry’s scheme to develop the city and choose a number of construction firms to execute the residential towers and trade zone there.
