Siemens signs digital transformation deal for Egypt’s industrial zones

by Yomna Yasser

Egypt signed Sunday an agreement with German industrial company Siemens that targets industrial modernisation and the development of local industrial skills.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade in Cairo on the sidelines of a forum organised by Siemens Egypt.

The memo will see Siemens providing a comprehensive package of innovation products, systems, and solutions designed for industrial zones in Egypt, including Al-Robeky leather zone, Damietta Furniture City, Plastic Industries in Margham area in Alexandria, and the Golden Triangle project. This will allow the transformation of these areas into smart industrial zones.
