Crédit Agricole SA posted a 49 percent year-on-year rise in first half profits in Egypt backed by an increase in interest income, its financial indicators showed Sunday.
The French bank registered a net profit in Egypt worth 941.6 million Egyptian pounds ($52.6 million) during the first half of 2017 ended in June, compared to 630.3 million pounds in the same period last year.
Interest income also rose to 2.23 billion pounds from 1.46 billion pounds last year, the bank further said in a bourse filling.
