Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation will negotiations with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to discuss a new country strategy by the end of the current year, government sources told Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday.
By reaching an agreement on the new strategy, Egypt hopes to secure more financial assistance, the sources added, saying the current strategy is worth $3 billion.
In March 2015, Egyptian government reached an agreement with the AfDB over a $2.5-3 billion in aid, as part of the African bank’s three-year strategy of cooperation with Egypt for 2015-2019.
