Egypt receives $1.7 billion in expats’ remittances: c.bank

Remittances from Egyptian expats in November were up 33.2 percent compared to the previous month, a recent report by the Egyptian central bank showed.

November’s remittances rose for the second consecutive month to record $1.7 billion, compared to $1.3 billion in October, the report added.

The state saw a 35.7 percent rise in remittances to reach $1.3 billion during October, compared to $937.3 million in September.
