Egypt has signed on Tuesday two grants worth €120 million ($124.6 million) from the European Union to support the country’s small and medium-sized industry and education sector.
Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and Federica Mogherini, Vice-President of the European Commission, have signed the EU Facility for Inclusive Growth and Job Creation, which involves a €60 million grant to support the SME projects in Egypt.
The two officials have also signed a €60 million grant to combat child labour and improve access to education for children and provide up to 500,000 children in schools with their daily required nutritional essentials in the governorates mostly in need.
