Egypt’s bourse has leapt Tuesday, lifted by Arab and foreign investors’ purchases, to record gains of 6 billion Egyptian pounds ($675 million)
Market capitalisation has marked 419.522 billion pounds during the closing session of Tuesday.
Indices
Cairo’s main index, EGX30 gained 2.63 percent, to 7864.03 points
EGX50 EWI index inched up 1.36 percent, to 1506.63 points; EGX20 also hiked2.33 percent, to 8296.89 points.
Mid- and small-cap index EGX70 roses 0.38 percent, to 381.91 points. Price index, EGX100 also increased 0.71 percent to 812.52 points.
Turnovers low
On Tuesday, the bourse’s trading volume hit 445.594 million securities, with turnovers closed at 1.121 billion pounds, exchanged through 35,568 transactions.
Also during the closing session, 187 listed securities have been traded in 125 declined,34 advanced; while 26 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Arab foreign and Non-Arab investors were net buyers controlling 12.45 and 12.97 percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 16.242 million pounds and 15.406 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, Local investors were net sellers capturing 74.58 percent of the total market, with a net equity of 31.648 million pounds, excluding the deals.
