On Tuesday’s closing session, the EGX lost EGP 3.2 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 354.724 billion.
The main index, EGX30 sank 1.12% to close at 5004.98 p. EGX20 inched lower 1.33% to close at 5803.19 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged 1.37% to close at 428.67 p. Price index EGX100 went down 1.13% to close at 782.18 p.
Traded volume reached 76.296 million securities worth EGP 365.929 million, exchanged through 18.773 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 174 listed securities; 140 declined and 24 advanced while 10 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 70.74% and 24.19% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 497.354 thousand and EGP 6.301 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Arabs were net sellers seizing 5.06%, with a net equity of EGP 6.798 million, excluding the deals.
EGX’s downwards led by EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) which dived 3.85% to close EGP 12.23.
