Algeria’s administrative court rejected four lawsuits filed by Algeria (Djezzy), the local mobile phone unit of Russian telecoms firm Vimpelcom, to cancel tax adjustments reaching more than DZD 44 billion ($590 million) , imposed by Directorate of Large Enterprises (DGE), stated Houcine Bouakil quoting the Algérie Presse Service (APS).
The Algerian government had announced in 2010 its objection to the potential sale of the telco to a foreign partner, adding that it will buy the telecom operator as per the Algerian laws.
