Detaining 300 people, including doctors, journalists and activists, by the armed forces last Friday over the riots happened in Abbassiya and nearby the defense ministry vented the anger of many. Meanwhile all political powers called for organizing hefty rallies at 4 PM on Sunday heading to the Peoples’ Assembly. These rallies aim to releasing the detainees.

The detainee’s families gathered yesterday in front of the military prosecution with some activists calling for releasing the detainees. The activists see that the military junta randomly arrest people, leaving the thugs, whom their photos and names published on the internet, free.

The rallies will call for penalizing the officials who are responsible for killing the protestors and releasing all those who have been arrested.

About 5000 students from the hostel of Al-Azhar University gathered because of arresting four of their friends during Abbassiya incidents; denouncing the incidents of using extreme force against the protests.

Inside the hostel, the students chanted slogans such like “Down to the military ruling”; calling for immediate release for their students.
