Egyptian companies taking part in UAE Arabtec’s one million housing units’ project in Egypt will start carrying out the first phase in mid 2015, an official source from the contractors’ federation announced.
According to an official source from the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC), the first phase works will kick off after presenting the one million housing units’ project in Egypt’s March economic summit.
In cooperation with EFCBC, the local joint venture partner SIAC Industrial Construction and Engineering Company will finalise the list of Egyptian construction firms that will take part in first phase of Arabtec’s project in Egypt, the source noted. SIAC will announce the finalised list after the Egyptian economic summit.
Implementing phase one of the project entails the construction of 120,000 units and associated services in three locations: El Obour City, Badr City, and New Minya City.
