Egypt, UAE ink Protocol to employ 10.000 Egyptians in IT Sector

Egypt and the UAE have signed today a protocol to train and employ 10.000 job seekers in the Egyptian communications and IT sector.

In this respect, Atef Helmy – Egyptian Minister of Communication and Information Technology, and Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour – Egyptian Ministry of Trade alongside Sultan Al-Jaber – UAE Minister of State have signed the protocol for the national project; ‘Training for Employment’ on Thursday.

The protocol aims to train and employ 10.000 job seekers, including people with special needs, in Egypt’s communication and IT sector. It comes within the Egyptian-Emirati project to train and employ youth to find practical solutions to create job opportunities and prepare manpower capable of filling the needs of local and regional markets.

This project would be executed across 26 governorates in 4 phases to qualify 100.000 trainees for labor market and increase skills of industrial workers to save around 50% of vocational training needs in labor market.

Around 25.505 persons are training in different fields and around 10.000 of them have been employed through the project.
