Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hisham Ramez said Egypt returned US500 million in October1 to Qatar and it will return other US$2.5 billion by November.
Egypt’s relation with Qatar deteriorated since June30 2013 and the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi as Qatar supported Muslim brotherhood group and it also provided US$7.5 billion aids to Egypt.
Ramez elaborated in Washington on the sidelines of international Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings that Egypt has actually returned US$500 million to Qatar in the first day of the current month and it will return US$2.5 billion by next of November.
