OTMT Tops Egypt Bourse’s Volumes Traded in Q2

During the second quarter of 2014, Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding S.A.E. topped volumes traded by the ten active firms listed in the Egyptian Exchange, with 4.269 billion securities.

OTMT’s (OTMT.CA on EGX) amount of turnovers hit around EGP 5.358 billion through Q2’s trading sessions.

Amer Group Holding (AMER.CA on EGX) ranked second as its volume of trades amounted to 2.414 billion securities worth EPG 3.566 billion.

Egyptian Resorts – ERC (EGTS.CA on EGX) came third reporting a volume of trades of 1.155 billion securities worth EGP 2.066 billion.

Fourthly, Arab Investment and Development (formerly AIC Contracting) (AIND.CA on EGX) had a volume of trades hit 903.1 million securities worth EGP 1.902 billion.

Fifthly, Palm Hills Development (PHDC.CA) had a volume of trades reached 847.3 million securities worth 3.549 billion.

Sixthly, Citadel Capital (CCAP.CA on EGX) recorded a volume of trades reached 637.5 million securities worth EGP 2.823 billion.

Electro Cable Egypt (ELEC.CA on EGX) came seventh having a volume of trades reached 525.3 million securities worth EGP 869.1 million.

Arab Cotton Ginning (ACGC.CA on EGX) has been ranked eighth as its volume of trades amounted to 365.3 million securities worth EGP 2.147 billion.

Global Telecom Holding (GTH) (GTHE.CA on EGX) (Previously Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E.) has been ninth reporting a volume of trades reached 355.8 million securities worth EGP 1.877 billion.

At the bottom of the list, Upper Egypt Contracting (UEGC.CA) has come tenth recording a volume of trades reached 329.7 million securities worth EGP 813.2 million.
