Egypt’s Minister Will Take Part in IT Industry Forum on Wednesday

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Atef Helmy and CEO of Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) Hussein El-Geretly , Head of Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Mr. Ahmed El-Wakeel and Head of Assiut Chamber of Commerce, Ibrahim Abu El Ayoun along with a numbers of ICT leaderships will participate in the annual forum for computers and software of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) which will take place on next Wednesday in Assiut governorate under the name of ‘Future .. IT industry competitive

More than 100 Upper Egypt firms will take part in the workshop in order to review the strategic directions and the submitted projects from the Ministry and ITIDA so as to develop IT industry and boost the Egyptian technological exports to the global markets in addition to creating indirect and direct job opportunities for youths beside inching consuming ICT sector in the Egyptian national gross. Eng. Khalil Hassan Khalil, head of the division said.

The workshop will discuss the most important challenges which are facing Upper Egypt governorates and the role which will be played by IT in facing these challenges, Khalil explained.

The meeting will aim to aware and stimulate the global and local firms, activate the domestic market and push the Egyptian technology exports that will meet with the ministry’s strategy.

Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the forum comes under the slogan: “Solutions and Proposals for Economic Challenges”.
