On Monday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of EGP 7.9 billion as the capital market amounted to EGP 339.274 billion.
The main index, EGX 30 went down 2.73% to close at 4593.52 p. EGX20 fell 3.21% to close at 5255.28 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dropped 2.14% to close at 428.93 p. Price index EGX100 sagged 2.12% to close at 750.84 p.
Traded volume reached million 106.103 securities, at a value of EGP 306.856 million, exchanged through 22.709 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 173 listed securities; 153 down and 15 up while 5 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians were net buyers seizing 77%, with a net equity of L.E 33.145 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the reason for the EGX30’s decline is that the non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 11.84% and 11.16% respectively, with a net equity of EGP 19.484 million and of EGP 13.664 million, excluding the deals.
