An official source in the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) revealed that the total financing portfolios of the major firms reached EGP79.5 billion at the end of December 2013.
The source expected that the financing portfolio will be closed at EGP80 billion at the end of the current fiscal year of 2013/2014 in the light of the presence of collected premiums worth EGP4 billion during a few coming days.
The source has informed Amwal Al Ghad in an exclusive that the customers’ deposit portfolio up EGP330 billion at the end of the first half of the current fiscal year of 2013/2014 compared to EGP322 billion at the end of the previous fiscal year of 2012/2013.
The Bank aims to attract savings worth EGP10 billion to reach the total portfolio to EGP340 billion by the end of the current fiscal year.
