France Sends Official Tourist Delegation to Aswan for First Time Since Lifting Travel Alert

Egyptian Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou has received on Tuesday a French tourism delegation, in its first visit to Egypt since lifting the travel warning to Aswan city.

The delegation consists of 15 key figures and decision makers from France.

Minister Zaazou has underscored the importance of the French delegation’s meantime visit, noting that the Egyptian ministries of tourism and civil aviation have agreed on operating direct flights for Paris, Cairo and Luxor destinations to accommodate with the amount of the inbound tourists coming from France to Egypt.

The French delegation’s schedule includes visiting historic and heritage sites in Aswan; Philae Temple, the Temple of Kom Ombo, as well as the Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple.

The delegation will be also going on Nile cruises to Edfu city then passing by Esna to Luxor visiting Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Medinet Habu, Dayr el-Bahari and the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple.
