EGX Starts Trading in Red; Losses L.E 1.3 Bln

EGX incurred losses of L.E 1.3 billion during Tuesday’s early trading, as the capital market reached L.E 356.124 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 slumped 0.95% to reach 4908.42 p. EGX20 edged down 0.86% to reach 5631.02 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 also fell 0.13% to reach 437.92 p. Price index EGX100 went down 0.18% to close at 774.41 p.

The market has recorded values of L.E 3.674 million; while the volume traded reached 1.413 million securities executed over 327 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 46 listed securities; 6 up and 29 down while 11 keeping their previous levels.

The non-Arab Foreigners and Egyptians were net buyers seizing 22.02% and 71.18% respectively of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 194 thousand and L.E 152 thousand, after excluding deals.

Additionally, Arab investors were net sellers seizing 6.8% of the total market, with a net equity of L.E 347 thousand, after excluding deals.
