EGX Ends Trading in Red; Loses L.E 1 Bln

On Thursday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of L.E 1.04 billion as the capital market amounted to L.E 362.468 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 went down 0.43% to close at 5018.55 p. EGX20 fell 0.85% to close at 5813.3 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 slumped 0.43% to close at 453.02 p. Price index EGX100 dropped 0.32% to close at 791.51 p.

Traded volume reached million 127.298 securities, at a value of L.E 472.158 million, exchanged through 25.832 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 177 listed securities; 106 down and 48 up while 23 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net buyers seizing 65.43% of the total market.

Arabs were net sellers seizing 9.4%.

Additionally, Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 25.07%.
