Egypt’s stock market has pared its opening losses, yet it ended lower on Wednesday with losses totaled at EGP 195 million. The main gauge closed below 5325 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in red notes during the closing session of Wednesday.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 dipped by 0.03% to close at 5324.7 p; while the EGX20 fell by 0.21% to end at 6210.59 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched down by 0.27% to conclude 428.16 p. The price index EGX100 dropped by 0.23% to finish 730.44 p.
The capital market has closed at EGP 356.902 billion on Wednesday.
Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Wednesday, the trading volume has reached 64.118 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 216.260 million, exchanged through 11.412 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 154 listed securities have been traded in; 67 declined, 63 advanced; while 24 keeping their previous levels.
