Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mustapha Al-Shimali said on Sunday that the cabinet has approved a draft appointing Dr. Mohammad Yusif Al Hashel as the Governor of the Central Bank.
After the resignation of former governor Sheikh Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Al-Hashel is the acting governor of the bank.
Meanwhile, Minister of Information, Foreign Minister, and acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah said that the cabinet also approved an extension of the roles of President of the Centralized Tenders Committee, his Deputy, and all members for a new term.
Sheikh Abdullah told KUNA after the weekly cabinet that the ministers also agreed to hand over the government work program to the National Assembly based on the Amendment (98) of constitution.
