Dr.Abdel Kawi Khalifa, Egypt’s Drinking Water and Sanitation Utilities Minister, has discussed the possibility of Saudi Arabia delegation to contribute in establishing sewage projects for villages by partnership with private sector (P.P.P) and make the best use of new technologies in this field after studying a number of the Egyptian villages in several governorates, which contributes for implementing sewage service for villages and reflects the state’s interest in maintaining the health of the Egyptian citizen.
This came during the meeting of Dr. Khalifa with Saudi investors delegation including companies specialized in seawater desalination in Saudi Arabia, targeting to look into the ways of coopertation between the two countries in drinking water and sanitation sectors.
Saudi Arabia has discussed the possibility for contributing seawater desalination stations projects by BOOT system in Marsa Matrouh, Red Sea and North and South Sinai.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi delegation has met with Eng. Sayed Nasr Arafat, Chairman of Holding Company for Water and Wastewater(HCWW) and Eng. Zainab Munir head of the executive body for drinking water and sanitation.
