Blom Bank Egypt’s Loans Hit EGP 2.8 Bln At End-2012

Blom Bank Egypt’s portfolio of loans and credit facilities surged 4.5% (EGP 122.3 million) to reach EGP 2.8 billion at the end of 2012, compared with EGP 2.6 billion at the end of 2011.

The business results showed that the bank’s funds and balances held by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) rose 83.3% (EGP 462.8 million) to reach EGP 925.06 million at the end of 2012, compared with EGP 555.3 million at the end of 2011.

The bank’s balances held by other banks rose 16.6% (EGP 265.7 million) to reach EGP 1.8 billion at the end of 2012, compared with EGP 1.5 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s deposit portfolio registered EGP 8.3 billion at the end of last year, compared with EGP 6.7 billion at the end of 2011, registering an increase of 23.6% (EGP 1.5 billion).
