Education Ministry, Vodafone Sign Coop Protocol On Tawasul Initiative

A cooperation protocol was signed between Vodafone Egypt, Education Ministry and the national institutes participating in ‘Tawasul’ initiative to improve education in Egypt. Vodafone is providing communication methods provided with third generation, Tablets, cloud hosting and e-content developed for students beneficiaries of the initiative, as part of the company’s strategy to develop the society and improve education using the latest technology that achieves a quantum leap and enhance education quality in Egypt.

The experimental phase includes 450 students from 3 national institutes. Afterwards, the initiative will be spread to benefit 8,000 students in the first and second years of the preparatory stage. Then, the initiative will reach all students in national institutes and this will contribute to developing education methods for students with untraditional methods through the use of tablets instead of carrying books every day to school.

Egypt’s Minister of Education Dr. Ibrahim Ghoneim has signed yesterday a cooperation protocol between with Vodafone in the attendance of Eng. Emad El Azhary, the Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone Egypt, and leaders of Education Ministry and the national institutes.
