Airbus in talks with S. Arabia for A330 military planes

by Nada Ali

Airbus is in talks with Saudi Arabia to sell more A330 tanker military planes as the country is also planning to purchase A400M military transport aircraft, Bloomberg reported on Monday citing head of Air Power at Airbus, Jean-Brice Dumond.

Saudi Arabia is also prepared to order more Eurofighter jets – a joint project between Airbus, BAE Systems, and Italy’s Leonardo – at the defence expo that began on Sunday. These steps aligned with the nation’s target to boost its air force capabilities.

The country already owns six Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport, which can be used for air-to-air refueling or be configured to carry troops, cargo or be used for medical evacuation.
