Dr Mustafa Eissa, El Menia Governor, said the governorate is planning for supporting and developing the religious touristic attractions in El Menia, as it has several old monasteries; like Deir Mawas, in an attempt to reactivate the tourism in the coming period.
In his statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, Eissa said the governorate is eyeing 3 million tourists in the coming five years, through reactivating the growing tourism in the governorate, so it will provide more job opportunities for the youth.
The governor added that the average annual number of tourists that visit El Menia is 6 thousand ones, as this number doesn’t suit the governorate capabilities which can receive more than this tenuous number.
