Khaled Ibn El-Walid School’s polling stations no. 65, 66 and 67 in Embaba are witnessing high turnout from 8:00 a.m. (0600 GMT) from voters to cast their ballots in the final stage of a referendum on Egypt’s new constitution.
Such high turnout has led to clashes among voters and police and military officers as the number of supervising judges are not enough. There is only one supervising judge in station no. 65, while people used to see three supervising judges in the last elections in every polling station. To solve this problem, the military officers helped the voters in knowing their number in the voters list.
