United Bank Relocates, Barclays Shuts Down 3 Branches On Tahrir March

The United Bank decided to close its downtown branch based in Garden City in preparation for demonstrations to be held today at Tahrir Square against President Mohamed Morsi’s constitutional declaration.

An official at the bank said that the branch was closed because of increased riots. The lender also decided to move its management to Heliopolis and Maadi branches.

Barclays bank also decided to shut down its branches in Garden City, Bab Al-Louq and Al-Haram.
