The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer 91-day T-bills worth EGP one billion and 266-day T-bills worth EGP 3.5 billion today. This is the third offering of T-bills in eight days, raising the value of T-bills offered to EGP 15 billion.
CBE offered 91-and 273-day T-bills worth EGP 4.5 billion on October 21st and 182-and 357-day T-bills worth EGP 6 billion last Wednesday.
Government debt instruments such as treasury bills and bonds as well as international aids and grants and the government’s rationing plan will help in reducing Egypt’s budget deficit which is valued at EGP 135 billion for FY 2012/2013.
