MCDR Chairman: 109 Brokerage Firms To Start E-Signature Service

The Chairman of Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry Mohamed Abdel Salam said the MCDR has signed contracts with 109 brokerage firms for starting the activation of the newly- accredited e-signature service.

The MCDR chairman Abdel Salam further emphasized on the key role played by the e-signature service in providing full security during trading in the market alongside in speeding up the transaction completion.

Abdel Salam also added that the MCDR will show flexibility with the rest of the brokerage firms as it aims to encourage such firms to go for the e-signature service.

The MCDR has noted that the three firms that have the franchise of issuing the e-signature service licenses will circulate promotional offers for the service seeking to increase the demand. The three companies cooperate with the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) in order to organize training courses for the securities firm staff on how to use the e-signature mechanism, he stated.
