Coronavirus cases in Italy rose by 3,021 on Friday, up from 2,646 the day before, Reuters reported.
However, deaths linked to the coronavirus increased on Friday by 420 – the smallest daily toll since March 19, Reuters said, citing Italy’s Civil Protection Agency.
On Thursday, the European country reported 464 deaths.
Italy’s total number of confirmed cases currently stands at 192,994, the third highest after the United States and Spain.
