Oil futures gained in electronic trading in Asia on Thursday, with crude-oil futures for November delivery up 44 cents at $90.41 a barrel.
The gains for oil came amid a surge for Chinese stocks on Thursday after reports that China injected a record amount of money into its financial system this week.
Oil ended lower in New York on Wednesday, to notch its third straight session of losses on renewed concerns about Europe’s debt problems.
