Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Mobinil) (EMOB) selected four firms among the final list of acquisition bid of the company’s transmission towers.
Mobinil Managing Director Ive Gotieh said his company is planning selecting one of the companies by the end of next July stressing that the bid includes firms operating in the market and others did not operate in the Egyptian market.
Gotieh spoke to Amwal Al Ghad explaining that his company targets through selling part of its assets.
Mobinil incurred around EGP177 million losses in the first quarter of the ongoing year.
The company which will win the bid, will rent or sell the transmission towers to the operators ‘Vodafone and Etisalat’, Gotieh pointed out.
